About the Walk
What is it?
The Walk Toward Brighter Days is a walk-a-thon being held in Cherry Park in Rock Hill, South Carolina from 8:00 AM til 2:00 PM. Come join the fun and contribute to a meaningful cause!
The Walk Toward Brighter Days is an opportunity for you to contribute to suicide prevention. Every year, suicide statistics stagger and sadden the community, yet so often the organizations that fight it are overlooked when it comes to fundraising opportunities. The Walk Toward Brighter Days seeks to fill at least a small part of that gap and allow the community to raise awareness and funds to help save lives.
What to Expect
All who walk will receive:
– A free T-Shirt
– 1 raffle ticket for prizes with registration and an additional raffle ticket for every $25 raised.
How does this work?
The Walk Toward Brighter Days is a walkathon fundraiser, so the first thing you do is register and pay your entry fee ($20 for early registration!) and then you gather donors and pledges for your journey. On September 7th, at Cherry Park, you will arrive, check-in, turn in your pledge papers and donations, and then walk! It’s a fun time for a great cause.
Are there prizes?
Oh yes! Every participant receives a T-shirt with their paid registration, but we will also have a prize for the top fundraiser in the Under 18 and Over 18 categories, and a raffle at the end of the race. Each registration grants a single ticket for the raffle, but for every $25 you raise, you will receive an additional ticket. Additional tickets may also be purchased by attendees and participants on the day of the race.
